Yep, plenty of
fossicking around
Rubyvale. My folks used to go in there occasionally and found quite a few gemstones. Usually someone about the place who will cut the stones for you too for a minimal fee so you can take them straight to the jewellers to have them set.

Worth spending a night or two at the resort at
Lake Maraboon, the name escapes me at moment. Quiet spot, unless the ski boats are running, with good
views across to ranges to south.
The possums are the big night time attraction at the kiosk/restaurant, apart from the reds, whites and ales. Bit dry in that country at present too. Hooroo...
