Hi, just chasing some info on these inverter generators around the 1-2kva. I saw the Scorpian advertised for $299 at Repco but none left. I was chasing a bit of feedback on these imported generators and where they sell them.

Just got a hardware catalogue in the mail (think it was mitre10) they have a GMC inverter gennie 1.5kva (i think) for $599 or thereabouts.
Looked very similar to a Honda in the pic ;-))

Don't know if you have sorted out that Gennie yet. A friend of
mine bought the Scorpion, ceased it and got his money back, he tried the GMC but had bad luck as
well. Even the latest Yamaha (3500) gave him grief. He ended up with a HONDA, (which is what I told him to get in the first place), since then, no troubles.
Pay the extra and get the best. (they have a good re-sale value as
well).
