Has anybody here had any experience with davies Craig electric
water pumps?
I would like to get some idea if engine cooling efficiency has been improved, particularly with diesel application.

Thanks for the reply, I had seen that one, but it was a couple of years old, I was hoping for a recent update.

I was the instigator of that post, but I never did go ahead and fit the DC electric
water pump, so I can't elaborate.
I find it strange that even with all their advertising, nobody on this
forum has fitted one of these pumps.
The thing that put off (
well, one of 'em anyway), was the extra weight of the pump just "hanging" off the lower hose. I thought it could lead the hose to fail eventually. If there was someway of remote mounting it solidly to the engine or chassis, I would be more comfortable about doing so.
Anyway, I now own a GU with 6.5 Chev V8, so it would seem I took up one of the suggestions made in that post....hahaha

Shaker, I fitted one of these to a 2.8 TD Patrol some years ago to try and cure an under heating problem, it didn't work. I also used the electronic controller. Tried numerous times to get it running properly, but it wouldn't pump enough
water to keep the engine cool. Removed it and eventually got my money back, but the head gasket blew some weeks later. Just my experience.
