G'day all, I just bought a Nissan Navara STR 2003 3.0 lt turbo ( black ) and i don't want the stile side tray thats on there. My question is .. is it worth swapping for a aluminium try ? Is 1 worth more than the other or are they priced about the same?? I'am looking for a aluminium tray with canopy. If anyone could help me out that would be great..
Thanks for your help
dave

I assume "stile" means steel and "try" is tray?

What is happening to our command of the english language?

SORRY CHAMP but NO I did however forget to put the " A " in tray and I did put a "I" instead of a "Y" in style. I wouldn't have thought it would have been that hard to understand. But "style side" means when the tray of the car has solid side and only a fold down tailgate. The sides are colour coded to the car and look like a structural part of the vehicle, ute is able to unbolted and a steel tray can be bolted in its place.

Having owned 2 Tritons now, new one with style side and old one with steel tray, I would recommend the tray for its ease of access and versatility over the style side tub any day. The trat we had on the older unit was also sightly longer and as a consequence more useable when going on trips.
The only down side I could see was that the tray tended to pick up more dust or rain than the tub does.
As far as cost goes I'm not sure but there are a large number of tubs for sale in any auto trader mag etc so I'm guessing that you won't get much for it as compensation for the price of the tray.
