Acouple of weeks ago when I got the Nokia 6120 to replace my
old CDMA, Also got the Uniden street nav with it. Got a mate to put some movies on a SD card, Just tried it and bingo. Now on those
long open road stretches I can watch a movie. You convert the
movies to AVI and it plays.

Geez- how do drive on the 'long open road stretches' watching a movie on a screen that size??
Also got the 6120 with a 256 sd card- wouldn't fit a big movie on it??

In NSW it's illegal to have a screen playing a movie where it's visible by the driver.

So whats differance between looking at a screen with maps on
and a screen with a movie on. We are still looking at it taking eye's off the road

U shouldnt do either really, maps usually is just a glance. Hope u dont get engrossed in your movie and drive off a
cliff. Its amazing how far you can travel in a short time especially if you are not paying attention.
A few years ago a whole family was killed in NZ as a result of both the front
seat occupants looking over their shoulders at the kids. Were still looking at the kids as they went right under the rear bogies of a semi.
Result 1 flat Subaru covered in blood and gore. 1 traumatised semi driver who couldnt get out of the way.
I cant believe any one is stupid enough to even think about watching a movie when driving, even on a straight road.
Defies belief.
It is illegal to have a screen that can play video in the drivers vision whether you are using it or not
