I probably should'nt be doing this, but what the hell, it may help somebody earn a part time dollar:
Re. Position vacant: SSAA (Vic) Springvale Range Attendant (Part Time)
An opportunity exists for a person who has an interest in sports target shooting. You will work closely with the Range Committee and the State Executive Council, as
well as liaising with the State Office on various matters. You will need to be a team player, have sound administrative, organisational, communication and customer service skills and have experience in using a register and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling and usage of firearms and be the holder of a current firearms licence.
If you fit most of these criteria then please call the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (Victoria) on 03 8892 2777 for a job description. Note applications close Friday the 30th November 2007.

Fernanda Alberici
Marketing and Public Relations Officer

Should be more SSAA Offices in each major town as
well as cities not just clubs.
Promote the good of the hobby.
It is one of the safest hobbies / sports around.

Go the SSAA.
Gotta love any organization that promotes safe shooting, and puts pressure on the Government, to leave our Guns alone.
I too am a SSAA member, and have been a keen shooter for many years.
Cheers

Kim, I used to have one of those el cheapo spare wheel covers that had the words "ADVENTURE BEFORE DIMENTIA". Ive seen hundreds of them.
One day a lady I had never met before signaled me to pull over. She then proceeded to berate me [ very colourful language] because her father suffered from dimentia.
Whats acceptible to some may not be to others.
Sorry mate.....Lionel.

I have no Idea what your talking about fella. The SSAA and other shooting organisations throughout the country have a code of conduct that leaves other sporting groups looking pretty simple.
Try going on to a shooting range full of bleep , drugs or attitude...... !
I don't know a man, women or kid who hasn't benefited from the experience.
Regards
Kim

Guns are only dangerous around idiots and those that don't know how to use them.
On the news on Friday night it showed Students from the Wagga High School learning to use a shotgun to shoot clays.
They said it has been a great success and not one complaint from the public.
Might lead into a job as a Gunsmith / Olympics for some.
Another highlight was about a Cadet that broke records on his way to training for his licence.
Also a member of the SSAA / ACTA and keen shooter for over 40+yrs.
Still have my first rifle.
