Driving Lights Feedback

Opening up a can of worms there. Because it is like the best tyre, best fridge best car type question and is pureley subjective. I would suggest if you are happy with what you have then stick to them otherwise go for one of the recognised brands that such as Lightforce, Some of the IPF raqnge and the upper range Hella's.
Just consider how often you would actually get to use them and how far you really need o light the road up.

Dealers all sell the "best value for money lights", :-o) ....... I have IPF Extremes at present (came with the new mota - they are 65W) but the all polymer base model Lightforce lights I did have (100W) may be the best value overall. Very light, easy to adjust, waterproof, allegedly unbreakable (not quite true, but tough) and can be focussed from spot to extra wide, they have a range of clip on transparent covers to choose from. Hard to beat IMO as a unit for the $375 odd a pair. They get a great rap here from forumites too, re service and backup.

The Lightforce 240's seem to outperform the other known brands in all the tests Ihave read---also light and virtually unbreakable.Biggest problem is keeping them on the car without the "lowlife" removing them, as with most lights its two bolts to undo and there gone.

Do a search on here and on archives in the mag they did a test a few months ago on several brands of driving lights

4wd monthly did a comparison a few years ago. The lightforce won if I remember correctly. Other than that I have used two different lightforce. 170 and 240 blitz.
The 170 were good and would do for most applications.
The 240 I upgraded to are fantastic and can see a long way down the road. As others have said they are light, strong and versatile.
Not to mention they were designed in SA by a country dentist and are made in Adelaide. How many other lights can claim that?

hi all
just for some useless information regarding the theft of driving lights having had numerous sets removed i now drill and tap a thread and put in allen key grub screw into the thread below the nut that locks them onto there mounting bracket/s this seems to have fixed the problem not many people carry allen keys with them
