Anyone been around the tracks in this area lately? Planning to go up there next weekend. Are any tracks still closed? Want to go from Sandy Flats, Wobbonga Plateau, Pineapple Flats, Craigs Hut / Mt Stirling Track, Monument Track, Staircase, Cobbler, Rose River, back to Sandy Flats on King. Are the tracks in the Black range open. Once went in there and saw some old mining stamping machinery. Can't quite remember where. Would like to find it again.

Twinkles,
Check with Vic Parks first but last weekend all the tracks were open.
Rose River Tack is fine,
Lake Cobbler is good with a
water crossing just before the hut.
The Staircase is the same as ever but from
Lake Cobbler to the
intersection of the Speculation Tk on the Cobbler Lake Tk there is a bog hole. I had to winch myself out. A senior moment.
The
King River was not very deep and
Pineapple Flat camping area was deserted when we arrived and was a very pleasant
camping spot.
The run up to
Craig's hut is not hard at all and
the Monument Track has been graded and is a easier track now than before.
The Monument Track didn't even warrant a photo.
Didn't go to the Black Range so can't comment on that area.
