Just got home from a business who does Canvas and Vinyl stuff.
I build a steel frame on my trayback , a solid front wall and a solid roof. I need Vinyl sides ( 3 ) with 6 zippers and 3 windows. The price I got quoted was $980. I think that is a lot of money just for 3 sides. I supply the rope-tracks and can fit the sides too if that helps but $980?
Or maybe I'm out of touch with prices?
Cheers
Reiner

I had Copelands Canvas at the gabba do
mine a few years back (late 90's). I think @ $300 but had been quoted twice that. I recall they tried to charge me extra when I turned up but I refused.
You have to wonder with some of the prices? I would have to say though that there is probably $200++ in materials these days.

Hi Reiner
Try M&M Tarp Repairs at Capalaba ph 32453660 they made a
full annex for a Jayco Finch Outback cost $800-00 two years ago.
dont think his prices go up much, and its all quality work.

Reiner,
I have always found D & R Tarps at Anton Rd, Hemmant excellent for all types of canvas/vynal work. Their number is 33933477.
They have always been reasonably priced and quick.

Reiner,
when I had my canopy built on the rodeo, prices varied considerably between 600 and 1000 for a full canopy depending on the type of canvas/vinyl and the amount of windows. I found the more extra bits that I wanted, the more it cost.
I ended up with 24oz ripstop, two windows, 7 zipers and two air hatches for around the $1000 mark. However I would imagine that with yours it may cost a bit for putting in runners (labour time). I would atleast get a couple of more phone quotes, just be sure.
Cheers
Mike

Reiner,
now that it is close to chrissy and after you get a quote, don't hesitate and ask "How much for cash"

I have found "The Canvas Place" at Clontarf much cheaper than M&M at Capalaba with good work

Thanks for all the replies . I thought that was a bit over the top too. I know we all have to make money but there is no need to rip people off. I don't mind paying a bit more for good work but he did bits for me before and I thought it was pretty average.
cheers
