looking at a iroman winch to go on a car trailer we use for vehicle recovery. not used every day, probably weekly. i beleive there are few brands wich are exactly the same. with three years waranty and remote operation. how do the fare. how do the prices compare with other brands of cheaper
winches. any people using them regularly. thanks in advance. agroe

Bought one earlier this year for the GU. Works
well although I haven't had to use it in anger as yet, just practise work. Have been very happy with previous ironman products, in particular,
suspension (full kit on my previous Navara and coils on the GU). Good value and appears to be sound products.

Dandy I'd be leaving any of the cheaper
winches alone instead steering towards a commericial grade winch like a Ramsey, Thomas or Powerauto worm drive electric or 10 to 15K Warn etc. Winching weekly for a living I'd be looking at reliability over price although if on a budget there are plenty of ex government 2nd hand units available that would far outlast common
recreation winches.
