It's my fault. Ever since i sold the gas GQ and went diesel it's gone from $127.9 to $150.5 in just 3 months.

Brew
It's not just you.
When I bought an LPG GQ gas prices doubled within months.
I sold it and bought a diesel - Howard then brought in the GST and diesel for the first time became more expensive than petrol.
Sorry to tell you this though. Diesel in
Katherine is $1.37. I don't know how you can afford to drive at $150.50

No! Don't tell him it's not his fault!!!
He has admitted that it's his fault, so that means that we (ie: all diesel drivers around the country) can lodge a claim with Brew69 for compensation for the high price of diesel!!! hahaha
PS: Brew.....no real hurry for that Trip Calender stuff after all.....Annette hasn't done the trip report yet anyway, plus no newsletter at the end of December (and no meeting in December)
Cheers
Roachie

It's just you Nissan users that are the problem. The oil companies know that Nissan owners so gullable and the high prices are then inflicked upon us Toyota owners LOL

Pajero drivers. LOL They just buy the first car they see cos they don't know any difference.
Only drove one once and that was because the owner wasn't game to take it up a little ant
hill.

It might only be $1.37 a litre but I cant see how it bothers you anyway... You do all your driving in a Yota now with the fuel supplied LOL
By the way as you know I have always made sure when you had LPG I went for Diesel but as soon as you changed I went back to the 52cents a litre fuel and am still smiling... :-)

Dont rightly know all the ins and outs , just that the only servos that have any Diesel on the Bris nth side are BP , and even some of them have the diesel pumps shut down.

Here in
Exmouth we are $1.61 for diesel, whats confusing is over the years we are about 30 cents dearer than
Perth yet in the last couple of months there has been a 20 cent difference.

I saw diesel in
Melbourne (pascoe vale rd shell/coles)at $1.55.9 last week.
I'm convinced it's a capital city rip off. Out in the regional areas the price stays consistent, yet in the sities it jumps around. There is a
Caltex on Bell Street preston which has price changes every morning and night which amasingly coincides with peak hour traffic.

It's called "competition" and "supply and demand"......the franchisee and/or independant operator can set the price to whatever they want legally.

You are so right. Increased demand, short/irregular/unreliable supply equates to increased prices. Why would anyone ever expect ot get cheap/discount fuel/beer etc when there is limited supply. Sure beats me. How do you reduce your overall running cost(s) - reduce usage of vehicle (where practicible).

probably has to do with the fact that they are primary producers and are an "off-road business user" which are entitled to claim back the fuel excise (which is designed to build and maintain roads)......

My Patrol sits in the shed nowadays and only comes out for a trip.
Costs me about $50 a week to run my pre-owned (30,000km) Toyota Yaris, and about $180 a week to run my Patrol.
$80 a week are the repayments which brings the Yaris up to $130 a week.
And no extra klms on the Patrol.
Cant go wrong.

Price here in Pt Hedland today $1.58. Usually between 1.54 and 1.62. I have a 50km round trip to work each day, the same if I need to go to a bank. I would save money if diesel was 50c cheaper, but if I was really worried I would buy a ford laser.

We had a financial bloke at work today talking about salary sacrifice to buy a car, part of the deal is to work out running costs per week, which he averaged at $1.50 per litre for fuel. He flat out didn't believe me that I paid $2.05 per litre for diesel over 12 months ago. he suggested I was bullshi**ing. I said he obviously spends his holidays in different
places to me!
