I've been fortunate to come across a guy here in the Adelaide Hills who makes a fabulous Awning.
Was tailor made to fit my vehicle...superb construction and so easy to use...fully free standing.
I have no vested interest with this bloke: A.J. Buhlman

I'm just a happy customer wishing to share this information to anyone who wants a Super product at a Super $ price $

The following Pictures are of Anthony's vehicle.

It has awnings on 3 sides.

Unit for me was made to fit a Suzi Vitara...so price varies toe each vehicle.

I like the product, but you've got me confused - free standing? It seems to be attached the vehicle!!!

Jeez !! your politically correct Tessa...yes it is attached to the vehicle in it's own aluminium channel which is totally enclosed in a vinyl & zippered bag.
The unit has horizontal braces tucked away inside the channel which extend to the front of the awning. The front of the awning has two telescopic(adjustable) posts which when folded are tucked away in the front rolled section.
Extremely sturdy, self supporting, and guy ropes can be used in blustery conditions...Heck, I hope I have cleared that up a little.
Cheers
