Hope no one was planning a trip out far west NSW in the next week.
Not sure how much rain we got in town today but when there is 2ft of
water flowing down nearly every street it must have been a lot.
Cobar had 61mm in 2hrs yesterday and by the colour of the cloud thats been around, there would be some serious
water lying around this part of the state at the moment.
Looks like I might get to drive in some mud this weekend for the first time in nearly 6 months!!!

Great news Hughesy.
Cobar and the whole Western pastoral division has been so dry for so long.Last good rain i think was around
Tibooburra and the upper North West in January or Feb.
Cheers
Tony

G'Day Pete - that much hey???
My missus rang me at 6.30pm in an absolute fit because she thought she'd drowned the car. She said she got to a round about and there was
water everywhere...she didn't know where to go, panicked and end ended up driving thru
water that came over bonnet (we haven't been in
Broken Hill when its properly rained yet). Luckily Falcon and kids are alright.
I was at work in Eyre street and we had only had about 5mm on that side of town when she called and I couldn't believe the
water when I got over to her in Lane St 10 minutes later. Absolutely unbelievable!!! Wish I had my camera on me.
Anyway yes the place will certainly green up now. More to come tomorrow too apparently.

If your going to be in town for long let us know and we might be able to catch up. Dave B and Pete might also be around for a yarn and an ale.
You can bring your "cheer squad" along too lol ;)))

Send some approx dates Peter and we'll get something organised.
I've only been in town for about 9 months but I'm sure Dave B and MintabiePete will know some great spots.
Yes the
Silverton area (Pub in middle of no where) and the Mundi Mundi Plains area is great for photos.....especially at sunset.
Whats your excuse for being up this late???

Hushesy
Good to hear you got some rain. Your part of the world really needs it.
Not a cloud in the sky here to the west but we have had 27mm over our annual average so far. Countryside is extraordinary green.
Cheers

Good to hear that you have finally got a decent down pour.
I know a couple of farmers on the
Menindee -
Wilcannia that will appreciate it as
well.
Were any of the local business flooded ?

Yeah there was
water up to business' doors and peoples cars taking on
water that were left in the gutter. Within an hour of the rain stopping there was only a trickle around the place. Unbelievable!!!
