Try rotating your tyres, front to rear, could be uneven wear.

Darrell,
Check out the all the following:

All ball joints/steering knuckles.
Damper bushes
Spring shackle bushes, (front and rear of springs).
Steering Box adjustment.
Swivel housing bearings (would be kingpins in a 'normal' vehicle)
Wheel bearings must be tightened to specification.
(no more- no less)
Tyre/Rim assembly for balance (preferably dynamic balanced).

Any or all of these (in combination) can cause the symptoms you are experiencing.

Good Luck in sorting it.

Disco.

I just replaced the tie rod ends on my Patrol, they were stuffed and that has fixed the wobble I had at 80-90k/ph

Cheers Luke

Darrell.
Very common in that and later models, since the wheels are sourced from outside a lot where not round. Just jack up the wheel about 2 mm from the ground and spin it by hand if it touches the ground at one point you have a crook wheel. Most 4x4 wreckers don't have any good wheels left because of this problem. be persistent and you will find a good set, some car yards tart up vehicles by putting even worse after market wheels on then but it does provide a source of genuine wheels. Happy days Eric

Darrell

check your tyres. could be that the rubber has hardened up. I had a similar problem on my 80 series adn ended upchanging the tyres(which were 5 1/2 years old anyway) and now it's very smooth and no hint of wobble.

Rob
