Hi,

Does anyone have a camper trailer made by "The Complete Campsite". I really like the look of them, however have not found much on them except for what's on there site.

I'd lke to know how they compare to other brands?

I need a camper trailer to sleep 2 adults and 3 kids - not to squashed! Price range around $20,000.

Any tips or suggestions on brands and models that would be good for us would be appreciated.

I was going to say that Member - Captain WA has one but his is actually a Camprite and not the Complete Campsite.

When my family and I were looking at buying another CT we looked at these and really liked the walk-in idea. What threw me was the cost. With what I wanted - boat rack, tool box, kitchen, etc - it was going to cost me between $25 and 27K! SO I started to ask some questions about quality and the like.

Go to myswag.org and ask about on that specific CT forum. Johny Trackabout is an actual contributor and provided me with heaps of info on hsi product and answered a load of questions.

But, I didn't buy one of his CTs. As I have said, I liked the walk-in (drop down steps) idea as I havehad knee surgery and don't want to have to climb over the wife to get to bed (only for other things LOL). What I have being made right now is a Clarkes Country Camper. Fully galvanised walk-in CT, 12ft tent section from the side of the trailer (all the canvas being 15oz Australian made Billabong canvas), 8 ft annex with full walls, storm flaps inside and out on all windows, queen bed, 8 1/2 x 5ft trailer, Drifta kitchen, 9 leaf springs, electirc brakes, 60 litre water tank, 5 jerries, 2 x 4.5 kg gas bottles, axe and shovel holder, battery holder, draw bar toolbox, outboard mount, flip over boat rack modified for me, etc, etc. Quoted cost approx $18K all up although he is open to negotiation. We managed to pay a bit less than this and he will have it regoed, supply a couple of jerry cans, the two gas bottles, the axe and the shovel. Ray Clarke (the trailer guy) has accommodated all my requests and niggling little changes to the trailer along the way without issue or added cost. Gav (the canvas bloke) has done the same for the tent section. I should get the completed outfit by end of next week as it was due back from the galvanisers today.

Karicher, I have no affiliation with Clarke's but am totally impressed with what they are producing. Check out myswag.org and ask Redback about Clarke's trailers. His feedback was one of the final reasons we went for the setup we are getting. When I get mine I intend to post pictures on myswag anyway. That should be before Christmas.

By the way, Clarke's Country Campers are made in Medowie (just north of Newcastle NSW). We just happened to live in Medowie but weren't aware of their product until I had a caravan annex made through Bella Canvas (Gav).

Anyway, from what I eventually worked out, the Complete Campsite products were fantastic but, in myy opinion, over priced for what you got. Oh, you can have the Clarke's CTs painted (2 pac) or galvanised for the same price and all their steel is Australian origin.
