Hi all

I have a 95 hzj75 that has a badly mangled front diff. I can get my hands on a complete front axle from a late (87or 88) hj75. The diff centre is too big to fit into the front axle of mine. Does anyone know of any reason that I couldnt fit the whole axle to the later vehicle?

Thanks in advance, any help much apreciated

I cant see why not. I own one of each in those years and have not found anything different between the 2 except for the size of the diff.

Check that the driveshaft angle wont foul anything and check the flanges for bolt hole spacing

Thank you all for your replies much appreciated

Davoe do you mind if I enquire why you had all hj75 running gear in your hzj? did you feel this to be some advantage?

Thanks Pop

Nothing mysteries it was the way i bought it it was done up as a camper van
the guy that built it made it out of 3 vehicles i think the hj75 was wrecked but supposedly had recon motor t/c case or whatever
the donor vehicle i dunno much about except it was an ex mines duel cab
built it all himself on his sones sandblasting premisis
