Morry,
Just interested in how many klms your vehicle has done? Sorry I can't help you with a mechanic in the North. I have a friend in Kenwick who I know to be a good mechanic, suspect he'll be to far away for you. Is this the first clutch?

Morry,
Interesting, mines just done 163k and I'm going to Tassie at Xmas,
mine is also on it's first clutch, I do a fair bit of towing as
well. Did the clutch start slipping suddenly, over a matter of days or maybe months? Is there any evidence of oil around the bell housing drain? Has your mate got anything to say as to why the clutch started slipping, lot of off road stuff, towing or is it just one of those things. Thanks for taking the time out to reply.

hey Martyn.
owner of the Patrol here.
the clutch started sliping over about 2 to 3 weeks.
first noticed it slipping changing from 3rd gear to 4rth gear going up
hill on bitumen..revs went upto about 3200 then dropped back to normal..
now after a few weeks it slips pretty easy in all gears.
dont know about the history..have had it for 2 years and i dont tow anything..a little bit of beach work is about all for me..
then there is the missus who is not so crash hot with manuals lol..
hope that helps..

Northline Motors, Lacy Street,
Perth, speak to Elliot, he comes from a long line of family mechanics, his fixed a few problems of
mine in that other mechanics where going to charge me a packet and do major work, when the problems were minor, he sure knows his job and dosnt rip you off, even in doing
services if it dosnt need replacing he wont replace it,
Tell him Clive sent you

Palazzo Motors in William St Northbridge is good, and he's set up for servicing 4wd's.
Speak to Paul Palazzo.
