I enjoy reading most of the posts on this site, but I have a request,
For the benefit of newcomers to this 4WD driving would it be possible for posters to give some idea of where these
places are.
There was a post about
Pinnaroo? Where is
Pinnaroo?
I am aware of most of the
well known
places in Australia but some of the
places in these posts are known to only those familiar with everyone.
Ignorance is no excuse I know but please help.
By the way, what is a "troopy"?

Mr 1927,
Pinnaroo is a small town in SA in the mallee near the Vic border.
as a suggestion, you could google the name that you don't know about and it will give you the location and history etc of that location.
A troopy is a Toyota troopcarrier. If you are member Lucy, they are the only way to go, however if you are member Roachie, he refers to them as a droopy. It was revealed here yesterday that Roachie is a closet wannabee Toyota owner/driver so he must also have a high regard of them also lol

Pinnaroo is also a
cemetery in the northern suburbs of
Perth.
Don't want to end up there by mistake.

It's probably as lively as
Pinnaroo SA. Cept here you can just stay one night in the motel.

MR 1927,
When you want information about a place - go to the menu and hit
Places, in the search type
Pinnaroo and go Go. This will give you the result you are after and here is the link:
Pinnaroo SA.
As for a troopy it is a Landcrusier 75 or 78 series troop carrier. We used to drive one here is an old picture from our travel journals (located under
About Us in the menu):
