I have a 04 diesel Rodeo and have what looks like black bits of soft rubber in the bottom of the clutch master/cyl reservoir.
I have flushed it out once but it came back soon after. Clutch works OK and I was wondering if anyone else has come upon this.
Thanks

Maxwell,
Could possibly be deteriorating slave cylinder or hydraulic hose. Also, if the reservoir cap has breather holes in it could dust/dirt/or even rubber from the bonnet lining be entering or maybe the inside of the cap?

Maxwell,
Lastly, check the rubber seal / grommet that is between the reservoir and the master cyl. If it starts to crumble pieces will surely fall into the fluid and then float up, soak and then fall to the bottom.
