That's good news and yes she said hubby was happy with the deal and getting $$$'s back.

That's the main thing and as long as the ZUK is okay.

Hey 96,

Yeah I'm still lurking around, sorry have been busy with work, thought I'd have a gander on here tonight before going to noddy land noticed your thread by chance. My Suzy is going really good have not taken any decent photo's yet as waiting for hubby to help me with some decals (butterflies - of course) have a good one for windscreen need to have it the windscreen checked before I put it on. Have a star crack (probably from a stone) that I need to have checked don't wont to waste sticker if I need a new one. It is a great car to drive haven't been anywhere major apart from normal running around, hubby has taken it to work a couple of times. He was going to ride the motor bike tonight instead of taking his Cruiser but I offered Tottie and he didn't hesitate - therefore he likes my Tottie too. LOL I think I look better behind the wheel than he does.

I have put the picture from the car yard on as member rig photo so hopefully it worked, at least you get to see her before I put clothes (decals) on her - can't have her running around Adelaide naked. LOL

I would have MM'd you but I don't think your a member aye, never mind (hopefully no one gets there nickers in a knot for this thread)

Will let you know when I have a better updated picture. Keep in touch

Cheers
Debbie

Great news Debbie,
I thought that something might have gone wrong with the deal.

But everything has turned out good for you and hubby.

"Totti" looks good, I have not taken much notice of them in the past but since you made mention that you were after one, I have seen that many running around the streets up here it is unbelievable.

We are thinking seriously of selling of our RAV4 5 door wagon, but will wait and see what the new 200Killer what haha version is like.

Will hang onto the 80 series though.

I like the RAV for around town and even on a trip, they are economical and an easy vehicle to drive.
they just seem to go forever.
I suppose I spoil our two as I change the oil every 5000k's and do a flush every 3rd oil change.

I also add the Nulon E20 in every change. service is the life of your engine.

I have built quite a few over the years and I can still remember the first one, it was the old grey Holden 6cyl in an FE Holden.

After that one I saw the light and moved over to Fords.
I have built up quite a few quick 351 Clevo's and Big Block Lima engines.

Time to relax and enjoy the 80 and RAV4 now though.
My wife loves both of the Toyota's but hated driving the Ford with the Lima Big Block in it as it was very quick and you had to be careful as you could soon loose it, especially if take off.

It use to spin the back wheels even at 100kmh on the highway if you gave it a boot full.

The 80 series is by far cheaper to run also.

Re the Ford, it was also a real collectors car, so you couldn't leave it parked just anywhere, or it might have gone missing.
Like a lot have over the years and are harder to find.

So in one way it is a load off our shoulders worrying about it all the time.

It is a show car and the people that have it now are using it for that purpose.
We were pleased it went to a good home, as we had it for 15yrs.

98,

Must say I loved driving the 96 we had she had a bigger exhaust and sounded great but alas she wasn't earning her keep. Still need for son (mechanic) to look over my baby. But so far so good, I'm thrilled with my early present from santa. I still like to drive the Ford but I'm finding I prefer small cars to the big ones for running around town. I would love to have a go at your Ford sounds like fun.

Well I must go to noddy land big day tomorrow catchya soon

Cheers

Whoops, slip of the fingers 96 getting tired,

Understand what you are saying about the Ford, love old cars but yeah it is a worry what with them going missing lately. We have a big problem at the moment with Caravans going missing, bit worried as ours is normally at my brothers, but we have it in our driveway at moment getting ready to go away Christmas (takes up full drive) Might have to get my butt moving and hurry packing it to take it back where prying eyes can't see it and its safer.

Yes we used to run the Ford on Avgas but with all the changes you had to have a Cams licence to buy Avgas and was a real pain.

Virtually the only place to get from was at the airport, even then you still had to produce your Cams licence.

80lts use to only give about 200k's and that was steady driving, if you drove it hard, you could use a tank full in no time.

The front tyres had been on it for 10yrs and I lost count on the rears.

Can you take the Trailer hitch off (un bolt) it from the caravan?

Or get some of the wheel locks fitted.

When we had a Caravan and only used it once a year, I had a spare pair of wheels that I would fit to one side, on the rims I had a link off a chain welded to each rim so would line the two links up put a chain between them and put locks on them, as well as lock nuts on the wheels.
Hope this is of help.
