There must be someone in or around the Riverland of SA that can upload a better photo of the Bridge than the one there now from the 1960s .
You add it to PLACES and I will delete my old one .

Doug ,you may or may not know the bridge is getting a major make over at the moment.
So a photo now would be even uglier than that one.

It has timber work all over it to catch all the lead base paint that is being removed so it doesn't end up in the Murray River.
Our cranes can no longer go over the Bridge until all work is completed.

Cheers Scoof...

At the moment, the bridge is covered with corrugated iron and undergoing some maintenance. Costed at a couple of Million. They have spent more on it lately than it's worth. It was proposed to build a new bridge near Lyrup and bypass Renmark altogether. It would join up near Yamba. They are going to build a new weight station there next year and undercover so that the scaleys and mermaids don't get wet or sunstroke. It will incorporate the fruit fly station as well.
Unless someone has a more recent photo at home, a new one would not be any better at the moment.

Grassparrot,
It's about time that you Renmarkians came out of your shelter and made yourselves known. Blaze, Garbutt, Scoof, Schoey4 and myself are all Berrites. We'll have to have a local gathering one day to meet all the other locals who participate in this site.

I have only recently discovered this site in the last 3-4 months and have been following it closely. I have gained some brilliant information in setting up my camper trailer and am considering joining as a member. As I work in Berri I think I have seen Blaze's white 4wd with the www.exploreoz sticker on the back of it. It would be good to catch up as I reckon you guys are a little more experienced than myself at this game and I could learn a lot from you.

I wouldn't worry too much too much, Fish are biting good as usual , and some snotty nosed little grubs get all peeved off and jealiousy runs amok in their Ego, They think they know but are wrong as usual but it's OK . they only worry and carry on like kids about the things they know , It's the things and activities they don't know about that gives me the edge.

Doug T,

Seems as though I may be in breach of a copyright law. Although I dont think any harm has been done and it is promoting my area I dont have the time and cant be bothered ringing the local council and going through the red tape to get approval to have a picture used. See what you think about the post by equinox and remove if you think necessay.

Blaze,
I will email you but to answer your question I drive the new Triton GLX-R Turbo Diesel Dual Cab (black). I bought my off road camper trailer new about 4-5 years ago and have slowly been modifying since. Got real organised the last 2 years and added a lot more comforts to it.
It is a Modern Camper Trailer (Cavalier with no sticker on it) off road. When I bought it, it was just a 7x5 box trailer with fold out tent on top. Have since added kitchen, boxes, awning, moved spare tyre to the rear with bike racks, tent pole holders, tool boxes and last thing to do is add water storage (thinking I might use several 20l containers from what I have found in the archives.

Gerry

its a thing Doug keeps doing, we should stop posting photos in too places as he is always trying to change them. or calling the crappy, I'm Betty sure he's bosses don't like what he is doing or don't know.

each time I e-mail then they tell me they tell him not to do it and to talk the them first.

But I don't think he understands as he just keeps on doing it.

Cheers

Richard

It's good to see it's not one of my photos or that of my mothers..

Thanks for that mate. I tried editing, to no avail. I'll try alerting the hosts of this site to get them to correct it.
