Any body know where I can get a rear cargo sand grabber mat to suit my prado, vx grande. So far unable to get one. Have ordered for the front and rear only but they do not make a rear one (cargo area). Can get one no problems for a GXL,RV, Snowy etc but myn has the rear air which is different on the drivers side due to the inlet for the rear fan. Regards Steve M

Steve,
Have you tried
Bushrangers Wagon Liners
Or possibly would their Boot Saver be suffice if the Wagon Liner doesn't fit??
Cheers Kev

Thanks Kev, just checked out their website geez they have some stuff. I did a check on there but it just shows the rear of a GXL so have sent them an email for them to contact me with a reply to my question as to wether they do one or not. The only option is to try and get hold of a GXL one and see if its possible to modify/cut/reglue whatever to try and make it fit or maybe refer to John's idea from clark rubber. Thanks for the link have added it to my favourites. Regards Steve M

I've got one of these for my Jackaroo, excellent fit, 50mm high sides to contain
water etc., very happy with it. Good too as opposed to rubber IMO as you can slide things across it easier.
~$120 from memory

Hi Pete, yes happy with the bfg's. I had them on the old lux and never gave me any trouble. They seem a bit noisier then when they were on the lux but have to admit the clatter of the old 2.8D,
snorkel, and slight diff whine probably blocked alot of the tyre noise out where as the prado is so quit. When I sold the lux the bf's had done just over 50k and I think they would have done another 50 but have to admit the lux was lighter then the prado. I havnt had coopers, khumo's or alot of the other brands out there so cant comment, just stuck with what I know and trust. I've put in the xmas list to the wife so will have a few extra's added,no dount on xmas day except bullbar.(I know Im getting the sand grabber mats cause I ordered them myself yesterday but not allowed to put in till I get them on xmas day). All the best. Regards Steve M

I pulled the rear carpet out of the Paj, and put in 5mm PVC from clark rubber. used the carpet as a template.

Hi John, I will keep the carpet in there but just want to cover it to stop the usual dirt, sand etc directly on the carpet and dog fur from our Rottie and shepherd sticking to the carpet. Also when we go prawning smelly nets and waders. Did you make yours so that it has a lip around the edges to contain sand etc or does it just fit snug right up to the edges of the plastic trim ?? No lip. Runs back under the side plastic trims.
I was looking at various tub type liners, but wanted something that also ran up under the back
seat, so when I folded up the back
seat it still gave some protection, so decided 5mm pvc would work best for me.
Something very wet would have
water running under the trims with the PVC, so the PVC may not work for you. My stuff is usually damp and/or muddy, but not sopping wet.

Hi Steve
have a look at supercheap. i got one from there awhile ago for my prado but have seen them advertised since. they are able to be trimmed to size. i left
mine full size and let it run up the wheel humps a bit. they are great for sand and wet gear. they do have a real strong rubbery smell for a while though. i have kept
mine on the garage floor for a bit to air it out. they are a lot cheaper than buying elsewhere. i have seen them for sale on ebay too.
changing the subject - rusty is doing my window tinting this weekend. looks like it will be on saturday if all goes to plan. i cant wait to see it done. he is a top bloke for offering to do it and to get it in b4 xmas too. also the lpg is going
well. saving about $40+ each
tank fill and runs great. thanks for the photos of your tint.
see ya ....mick
