Just checking with other owners where their oil pressure is at idle and run. Mine hardly moves which is at quater most of the time.
On long trips it might jump up to half for a short period but usually sits at quater.

Any ideas on issue if one?

I am sure that someone else started a thread about this awhile back.

I think it came down to a faulty sender unit.

Cheers

Yes it was the subject of a service recall by Toyota, they should replace the sender for free if it hasnt been done already.

I went to the local toyota dealer, common problem for 100 series apparently.
Anyway after some discussion bought a new oil pressure switch sender unit PN# 83520-35031.
$125.00 thanks very much!

Anyways easy to put in 20mins, 14mm open end spanner.
To make it easier, remove the plastic saddle clip from the metal bracket for the wiring harness in front of the unit and dont forget to slide the sensor wire clip off before removing.

You will spill small amount of oil.
Works a treat now.

Good Luck.
