I know there are a plethora of threads about Next G, but none that I can find relating to the Telstra 165 "Country Phone"
Does anybody have any experience, good or bad, with this model?

I've had one for a couple of weeks and it's good so far. Works all round the farm and inside whereas my old cdma was a pit patchy.
Haven't been any where it hasn't worked yet, but haven't been too far of the beaten track either since getting it.

Of course that should have been a BIT patchy.
It may now be in a pit.

Just got my 165 a couple of days ago and I haven't got it working yet. Bloody thing, all I want it for is to make phone calls, yet I now have hundreds of different functions i'll never use. I would have preferred to keep my old, basic, CDMA.
Sorry. Just felt like having a dummy spit.

I was debating between a 165 and a 6120.After hearing all about the build quality issues with the 165, I ordered a 6120 today. They say the 165 is a better country phone but it aint much good if its broken all the time.
I just hope the 6120 is as good a phone as my 6385 im replacing.

I would have preferred a Nokia, but the 6120 has a ridiculously small keypad.

G'day All,
If ZTE can get their act together and assemble this thing properly, the 165 would be the preferred option as a country phone.
I'm so confident of their ability to do this I bought a pre-paid Samsung A411, until a decent NextG phone arrives
Regards
Rolande
