Truckster,

I am trying to upgrade the standard equipment tyres on the hilux to some Cooper AT. There ain't much that fits the SR5's specific tyre requirments 255/70/15 112 and thecooper are just about the only choice I have.

The problem I am having is finding a dealer that is happy to trade my tyres in on some new ones (mine have 5000kms). I remember you saying you trade yours in quite a bit, whats the secret?

Basically I don't trade them, I sell privately, on either Ebay, other 4wd forums, I sold my last set of 33's to a bloke on this forum :) Royce is mega happy with them!

I think another option is to chuck them in the shed for when you want to sell the car, put em back on the car if they are in good condition, and keep your other tires, or sell them as Coopers may be easier to sell.

You can go to other size tires, you dont HAVE to use 255/70s... SHop around, you will be happy with others too...

15x8inch rims ROH, are only $50 each if you want BIGGER tires.

HTH.

255/70/15 Looks an odd size try buying those out in woop woop, There must be a million Hilux SR5"s with 31/10.5/15 tyres on in aus.You can buy 4 ROH 7x15 rims and 4 tyres for lees than $8oo.Have a look around first
