Hi, My LC100 IFS has LPG conversion and had ARB metal rear bar and wheel carrier.
Due to this extra weight at the back, It is sitting lower than normal.
As I am heading to Fraser Island next month, I am concerning about the clearance.
The LGP specialist recommanded to replace the rear spring with Pedders Heavy Duty spring then should be able to get good clearnce. When I spoke with other mechanic, they say it's no use changing the coils and asked to replace whole front back
suspension.
As my pocket is very thin, I cannot afford the whole replacement.
Anyone experience on this please?
Tks, Ed

Ideally Ed you would upgrade
the springs and shocks to match improving ride height, handling and load carrying ability but if you cant afford the whole kit a heavier pair of springs would at least fix the rear end dragging which with a low slung gas
tank will be a problem offroad. Medium duty springs would possibly be best if you don't intend to upgrade the rest later as the heaviest ones will have you driving down
hill quite noticably.
Alternatively a pair of Polyair Bags can be used to level the car as
well for a similar price.
Cheers Craig..

Hi Ed,
Just had my 100k service done on Tuesday. Replaced
the springs, bars, shocks and included a diff drop kit with one of Darren McRae's kits (mob 0409 513 549), installed by my mechanic.
Very pleased.
Mine has sagged enough with just the kids in the back that everyone would flash their high beams at me on the open road.
Borrow the money, you gonna do it sooner or later.
No Affiliation, yada yada...

Yeah G'day mate
Own a 2000 model deisel troopy. Yep had sagging springs, so decided to investigate replacing but had limited funds. So I eventually went for Poly Air bellows (the heavy duty black ones) cost me $700 odd installed them myself and not difficult to do. I've had them on for 4 years now lots of Simmo Desert trips etc. I love them....Fantastic
Regards
Jeff
