Does anyone use a pre paid card service (1800 number etc) for their satphone access ? Anyone know which networks do accept them and which don't ?
I believe Optus do?
What are your experiences using them, it looks to be a cumbersome system.

Some
services, eg Optus, allow you to use a (3rd party) pre paid phone card. You ring an 1800 number and then your pin then the desired number.
Yep, searched as much as possible, but only found it on Optus pages (and it was pretty much
well hidden)
Rang the card provider and they said yep no setup fee, no monthly charges etc. But apparently they can't connect you with ALL satphone
services, and were vague as to which ones.
So I thought I'd ask here.

Stu, many thanks. That link is a bit light on, but at least I now know there's two service providers that do it :))
