I may be going senile but if I look at the specs on the ebay web site, the 3KVA model is 240v with 24.5 Amps output. When I went to school, one hell of a long time ago, the calculation of Watts was V*A. If that is the case then this thing is in theory a 5.8KVA machine, 240V * 24.5 Amps = 5880 watts. Over twice the rating of the gen set.
Something just does not seem to add up here.

Probably sold into the USA as 110volt/60hz model. 110x24.5 = 2695 watt or the 2.7kw rating mentioned. Probably a translation error LOL The price they expect to get is $1500 ("buy it now") but a lucky bidder might get it for the minimum $900 odd
These units are giving the Jap units a bit of competition but no doubt quality does not quite match yet.!

There is a 1 kva GMC inverter one around that is the spitting image of a similar sized Honda for around $500.

There's an old saying "you get what you pay for".
If you want a quality generator that'll last for around 25 years, do the job, I'd be looking at Honda or Yamaha.

Kim

Bought one of these a month ago direct from Bentley Imports in Kenwick, are 2.6 kva and blue in colour. Look similar to a Yamaha and are a lot cheaper. Have run it twice for short times and no problems. Mainly for caravan air con Air Command 3.0kw use.
Need to add oil and premium fuel before use and follow start up instructions. They also have demos in
shop and workshop at rear just in case.

According to the Operating Instructions and Speci's maximum output is 2.7KVA or 2700 watts with a rated output at 2.5KVA. The rated current is 24.5A as stated on web (@ 100 to 120v or 11.3A @ 220 to 240v.)
Hope this is of assistance and clarification.
