GU power steering box

Hi guys,
Has anyone every damaged their power steering box and had to replace it.
I have a GU 4.2 td patrol and recently hit a stump with the front wheel. As far as i can see, it has damaged the power steering box and replacement price for one of these from Nissan is $1400!!!
Does anyone know if you can get a reconditioned one?

they are pretty much the pick with the comp blokes, so I would find them fairly sturdy..
most GQ comp trucks swap to GU boxs.. so from wrecker maybe top $... Does Nissan do a rebuild kit for them?
