yes, i am a fan of ice.
I've been looking at options for cooling the eagle, has anyone had experience with ice fans, those square shaped fans that have provision for ice bricks?

are talking about an Eagle camper ...and you want to keep it cool with ice?...
where are you going to get all this ice
Only one way to keep it cool ....its called an airconditioner ...the heart of which is a compressor...its your only economical way unless you go evaporative..Bonaire make a thru the wall/window model

they use "ice bricks", those plastic containers full of
water that you put in your freezer. Drop them into the slots and the fan blows air over them.
approx. $50

short piece of string and another and another, and another........ continuing like the continuing generation of ice. Sounds like mal-marketing enterprise.

I got one of these devices, the logic is that it cools air in a similar way to an air con, by passing warm air over a cold surface and making it come out cool. So I got one along with extra ice packs. To cut a short story shorter........dont get one..........obviouslly the ice packs do obsorb heat but the air does not feel cooler at all and neither does the room cool down.
A far better way to keep cool easily is to get a pressure spray pack with
water, put a fan on you and put mist
water on your skin, it will cool you on a 45 degree day.

Don't know what part of the world you're in, but Aldi Stores in
Melbourne have a 12V/240V Evaporative Cooler for $29.99. Sale starts Thu. 13th. Dec. Tried to upload a photo out of the catalogue from my own files, but to no avail. All the best for Xmas/New Year. Cheers.

Roger,
If it's a small
grey thing with the Lion Brand, avoid it. We bought three of the useless things two years ago. A small 12v car fan is much better.

Jimbo. That's the one mate. I wasn't thinking of buying one though. We just unzip the windows. By the way, Dave rang shortly after you, and we've got it all worked out. Cheers.
