We are trying to fit these to a 2005 Prado.
However where the mirror bracket goes down between the door window seal, and the drop glass, it rubs on the glass.
Is actually taking the window tint off.
Can others please advise on how they resolved this situation.
Thanks
Col

The window tint should be on the inside ?????
Just make sure you follow the instructions...you must be doing something wrong as I use them on my LC100 and have NO PROBLEM
Make sure the arm that the mirror sits in is at RIGHTANGLES to the door as if they are not they will rub on the window...that is the only thing I can think of. It cannot be at an angle...should be at 90 degrees !!!!

The only prob i know with the prado is you need another strap to suit the bottom of the door sill, otherwise they are a great mirror

I have the same problem. They fitted on my 80 series fine, but not on the Prado (
mine is an 04). The not only scratched the glass, but also damaged the rubber seal, so I now dont use mirrors at all.
Cheers,

There's an article in the current CMCA magazine about 'copy' Aussie truck mirrors. Apparently the mirror & the packaging look very similar to the original.
Users have commented about difficulty in fitting, and the plating falling off after a short time.
