Philips +80 X-treme Power Globes. Heard rumours about these a while ago and found them in the latest Autobarn catalogue. Looks like the only have them for H4 and HB4 (100 Series?) at the moment. $79 a pair. Wonder how they compare to the ARB Fatboys?

I love the way they stagger these things. I use to have +30's on my vehicles, then +50 and now I guess I'll get these. Might wait till prices drop though, could buy some fog lights for that money to help out my low beam.

Bit like the HID with Light Force now offering 50 watt HID after everyone has bought the 35 watt model.

Mark

I only use Phillips globes, Blue Vision, think they are a plus 50% type.
Found them great, and would be interested in the 80% type, for the next set.

Cheers

Just to let you know my opinion on these, as i have been using these for around four months IMHO they are not that much brighter than the +50s if at all,but in saying that they are a vast improvement on standard lighting (much whiter and brighter) anyway if you already have +50s personally I wouldn't upgrade until they die!

Hi Mark

Had the +50's and the fatboys were much better , as +80 is less of a step from + 50 as +50 is from standard I suspect the fatboys will remain the best by a significant margin.

Particularly as +50 etc performance comes in part not so much by more total light out but by better concentration of the beam.

Hi Robin,

Can you remember what the fatboys cost? I vaguely remember a figure around $150?

Thanks,

Mark.
