Thats why the Howard Gov't shied away from the Sorry statement.

I say give 'em $10 Billion and call it quits.

No more handouts, no more dole, no more CDEP etc just get more or less what we are all entitled to.

After all there is probably $10 Billion in the coffers just from fuel taxes alone.

Enjoy your worrying time

Cheers

Yeah, if the 'gravy train' would stop at that figure it would be worth it. But it won't.

I think you both are a pair of cheapskates.

$20 Billion is more like it.

Also its one of the best ways of taking $20B out of the Govt's hands and injecting it instantaneously into the economy in record time.

Everyone will benefit big time. It will create a whole new industry and range of employment opportunities for those dispersing the $20B, to all those end user recipients who will NOT BE the intended recipients.

Look at it this way - from something bad there is always a heap of good things.

See Exploder

I told you there is always good from bad.

Just think of the O/T on the bottling and delivery line plus the bottle/can manufactures.

The list just goes on and on.

Yahoo is suuuuuuch baeutifull thing at discrediting those making all the noise

By 1999, Professor Boni Robertson warned that violence in Queensland's black communities was out of control. Her report quoted a witness who'd seen a shoplifter, a girl aged just 14, being checked for sexual diseases: "I have never seen a girl so red raw inside ... Turns out she had been sexually assaulted since the age of three. (She) was the first person I have ever seen where I thought, 'There is no hope for you'."

Why can't we rescue such children now, and give them safety and some schooling?

At last leading Aborigines now admit what I've argued for years: the "stolen generations" story, whether true or false, is killing children. We must lose our fear and save them once more

I wonder sometimes from what generation those clever well-educated aboriginal leaders came from?

I think this says it all

"I don't believe anyone is going to have a better life just because the Government says sorry," Mr Aird said.

I think that we should be generous with such a payment. Double what they ask for...

and THEN send them a BILL for every cent that taxpayers have spent on them !!

Sorry, makes me bloody furious. I'm usually the first to be sympathetic but on this occasion...
