I got myself a 66cm HDTV / Monitor, the quality is amazing , absolutly amazing , and when used as a monitor the extra sice in widescreen makes my photo's look even better, Once the settings are made the stretched look some showrooms have on display is not how they should look, not as a bumb headed salesman at
Warwick Retravision told me, he said thats how Digital TV is going to be , ...how did he get that job,
Sure come a long way since the crappy little 14 inch monitors we used not so long ago.
Someone was asking about Digital Movie Cameras a while back,
well I now use my JVC set on 16.9 and the playback is perfect, Might have to go back to the SD and get some more shots .

HDTV can mean anything from something that interpolates 1080i signal down to 720, which is the way it always was until recently with FULL HD. Best picture I have ever seen is Blu Ray connected to the new Samsung LCD and Sony Bravia XBR LCD via HDMI displaying a full 1080x1920 at a true 24 frames per second (progressive scan). The Disney/Pixar films look absolutely amazing on those, even 3 dimensional like.

Yeh I got the Disney/Pixar CARS, I think I've watched it about 4 times now, even on the normal Flat screen it looked good , and so very funny , scaring the sleeping Tractors was out of this world, But comedy aside it is a movie that you have to pay close attention to because things happen so fast , like the
fork lift doing the tyre change , and the many other little background events , the first time I seen the flies they were ...flies, second time ....flies....third time I see they are bloody VWs, it is a movie very worth seeing,

Careful what you say about VWs, we have three in the family :o))
Must admit, they are a bit like flies, but more like little beetles, they can annoy you at times, and the wasser cooled ones too.

Either your mate needs to learn how to use it, set it up, or he's not in an area where he can get HDTV .
