Hi Rock Crawler
Gee I hope every thing looks better tomorrow, life can be cruel sometimes, but the main thing you are both not hurt, only the back pocket,
You can not but a value on life so you are both are very rich.
Bad start for Christmas but I am sure you will enjoy Christmas with your Family,& best wishes to you all.

Mate!!! Rained pretty heavily here but nothing like that. Feel for you guys. Insurance companies always duck for cover. Hope you didn't hide any Christmas pressies down there.
All the best to you all. Will have to catch up again in the New Year - I am missin' you ( is that a song?) - getting a bit slack we are at keeping up with everyone!!

Dr A Ms J
Merry X-mas and a happy new year to you, SWMBO and kids.
The rain over here was the best/worst/heaviest/wildest that I have experienced in 35 years.

E & P
Sorry to hear you copped it so bad
Maaaaaaaaaate! it was that bad on 'the mount' that we had to pull into the Safeway
carpark and wait until the storm part (wind and flying tree branches) finished its business and then crawled home at 5kph, with all the traffic in Stephenson's Road using the middle two lanes due to flooded gutters, footpaths and
water out to the centreline.
AND with it still 'persisting' down like no tomorrow.
Drove up the driveway and 'popped' the roller door, yep
water pouring out of the garage.
Jumped out and opened the side door of the garage to the back verandah - holeeeeee! Chit Batman - to a sea of
water cascading down the
hill through the houses behind and slowed by the back fence.
Would have been okay except that it washed the bark mulch from our garden beds down with it and blocked the mega drain portals I installed 17 years ago to prevent same.
The 'fall line' tracked into the garage stair
well along with a dose of bark to block the drain point thereas
well andthe into the Garage covering the floor.
No damage at all, just a mess to clean up which I am still doing.
Give us a ring if you need anything and we will see what we can do.

Thanks John, however I am ok , just a bit more mess to clean up and an enforced garage floor and 'environs clean up' much to SWMBO delight.
Blocked drains all over 'the Mount' were the cause of much of the angst and damage.
I'll give Eric a call in the morning and see what the situation is and take it from there.
