Mal and Di
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non addictive, gender neutral celebration of the summer solstice holiday, practiced more within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious/ secular persuasion and/or tradition of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. We also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make Australia great. Not to imply that Australia is necessarily greater than any other country nor the Australia in the Southern Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.
Mal and Di wish you all a very happy and blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year in the old fashioned way which was the way of our fathers and hopefully that of our sons and daughters.

well maybe..
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams says
"Dr Williams points out that the gospels do not say what time of year Jesus was born."
"He says knowing that Christ was not actually born in December should not be threatening to Christians."

Thank You for that Mal & Di and the same to you with knobs on.
I have just spent half hour retyping that with one finger for all my contacts. I think it is wonderfull that we can be amused by all this political correct legalised mumbo jumbo and bullflit. I shows just how out of hand it can become if we as Australians allow it. Anyway Have a great Merry Xmas.
