While most others are out having fun,
Eating seafood, enjoying the sun,
This is our busiest time of year,
Whether staffing the hospitals or serving them beer
They travel by car, they travel by Boeing,
The Christmas spirit really gets them going
They want everything and they want it now,
And that’s what we give them, then we wipe our brow
And if you’re lucky enough to have a day off at this time,
The in-laws come ‘round; eat your meat, drink your wine,
And on my one day off I have to
cook it and pour it,
And after they’ve gone I have to restore it
But there is one thing to look forward to,
If the holiday season is not for you,
Take a deep breath and think of the day,
When all of the tourists have gone away,
The sun is still shining, the
water is warm,
But there is no longer the tourist swarm,
Camp somewhere beautiful, have a cold beer,
And be thankful that Christmas is only once a year
