Well after 2 and a quarter years I have (with a little help) got her repaired and back on her
wheels...
it was broken in the Wapet (Kidson track) on our 2005 trip, shockie mount tore a hole in the chassis rail (over loaded),,,
Shockie where fitted by me back in 1983-4 sometime when I lived in
Cairns FNQ
this time I left the off, problem was the shockie bottoming out, I had made the mounts that strong that the chassis was the weakest point,, over engineering..
the reason for taking so long was I'm slack... LOL
Hope you all had a good one and a merry new one,,, OK OK I know not everyone .. :-((((

Congrats Richard - and so quick too!
Liked your photos - some pretty remote stuff there. You have one of the Telegraph Track - which one is that and where abouts.
Travelled the WAPET mid this year - very over grown and deep washouts - and very much a highlight due the solation and unknown. Also took a short side trip just to the first
bore on the track to Gwenneth Lakes
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris
The Telegraph track is between Balladonia and 18 km south of
Norseman.
The main reason it took so long to repair the CT was we got a small off road Caravan and decided that if we go out into
the desert we take the Troopy only
if you didn't see them before you can see all my photos of the 2007 trip
Photos
Cheers

Hi Richard ........
May I thank you for 'making me spend most of today looking at your 2007 photos !!! '
SWMBO thinks it weird to even think of going to
places with no trees, no
water and no beer .......... me, I just get horny over it ??
Some really great shots in there ...... can't wait to get out there myself. Just a matter of finding the fuel money, really. I can live on sand stew and saltbush jerky iffen I have to....
I see there were a couple of goldmine references in there also ....
do you know if detecting there is allowed ? Nuggets = real food to me !!

Hi Pedro
I,m one of the lucky one and married a farmers daughter... LOL
after she drooped the new awing on her head the other day! I said to her that he still does some dumb girl things.. LOL (she didn't find that funny).
We really enjoyed the trip will do the Anne Beadell and the rest of the trans line next year (plan 1)

not sure about that but I'm sure there is while in
sandstone two blokes can in after dark Ute CV and a quad bike in the back they where dragging a wand about 3 foot by 4 foot behind the bike.
over herd one of them on the phone telling he's wife they had spent the last 5 hours hiding in the bush as they where in a nine lease....
I read the post on detecting the other day and down loaded all the info someone put up the links to, something I'm looking to get into
Cheers

Just had a look at your photos the Kidson is a lot more overgrown than when we travelled it, this is up the top end?
Still a good trip, a tick in the box..
