I found the tone of that post very unsettling.
I didn't know Bill Rowe personally, but his name had come up in a few conversations I've had with pastoralist over the years.
As far as I can recall, he and his family had a property west of Mt Magnet.
Well respected throughout the district, and a family man.
My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
RIP
Regards
Kim

I found the fact that it's not safe on
the beach at
Geraldton very unsettling.
That means it's not safe on any beach where a pair of no-hopers can become 25 or so no-hopers in the blink of an eye, and they have no problem stealing and killing people.
The world leaders are in outrage that Bhutto has been killed (no surprise that that happened) but why aren't the world leaders in outrage at this killing?
This man was worth as much as she, and was killed by no-accounts who will never pay the price.

Sadly Jimbo I agree with Ger.. The POS havent even been charged with murder, but something like causing a headache to some poor bastard...
Mr Scum of no fixed address... as it read in the paper... the defence has started.
You can see the defence that we will pay for
1) on drugs
2) voices told him
3) I was drunk
4) Bad childhood
5) sand in his eyes
6) thought the blokes forehead was a cricket bat rack..
7) I was drunk and stoned and had sand in my eyes...
We shall see, but i'd buy a Yota if he got what I consider warranted in a case like this.
We need to rid ourselves of this gang mentality.. bleep ing USA is to blame - it aint fair unless its 20:1 in a fght anymore.

"gang mentality.. bleep ing USA is to blame "
Truckie,
There were gangs here
well before TV let alone what you're hinting at. Contrary to popular opinion the USA is NOT the root of all evil.

Don't EVER let this happen again Gramps but I agree with you.....
T-Man the USA have nothing to do with this mentality. Gang mentality has been around since the dark ages.
Surely you don't believe this..........

Kim,
I feel somewhat responsible for the previous Post taking an "unsettling" turn. If I have offended anybody by my comments, I do sincerely apologise.
However, I do not back away from the meaning of my comments.
I too didn't know Bill Rowe, yet I feel as though I did. He sounds like a typical, all-round good bloke, family man and community volunteer etc.
He found himself in a situation whereby he basically had 2 choices: (a) question the 2 blokes and stand-up for himself or
(b) let them help themselves to his drinks (or whatever he had in the esky).
Had he chosen option (b), he would have left himself open to further material losses. It would not have been unreasonable for him to have expected that by challenging them (or whatever he actually did; which obviously wasn't as per (b), above), that they would have simply left the scene and gone away altogether.
I make no bones about the fact that I feel deep sorrow for Bill's family.......there, but the grace of God, go thee, or me.
RIP Bill Rowe.
As for the question asked above: "Why will they never pay?"
The answer to that is quite simple: You cannot pay something you don't have in your possession _TO_ pay. Even if this SOB (who I understand has now been arrested after handing himself in) is sentenced to life imprisonment, that will NOT pay sufficient price for the loss of a bloke who would appear to be worth 10 of that scumbag.
Sorry, there I go again; I do not wish to see this post go the same way as the last, but I simply find it so emotional an issue, that I cannot go on without voicing my opinion.

Dunno if its relevent or not but coming from
Yalgoo he would have been
well used to dealing with Aboriginals.
At a previos work place when they threatened to bash me I found the best thing to do ws walk right up to their face and tell them to hurry up about it then coz I had work to do.
Mabe wasnt the best tactic in this situation

Roachie
Thanks for the kind words and support for the family. The reason I tore strips of the fellas yesterday was the lack of consideration for his wife and kids.
It doesn't do any justice to blame, before a man is put rest.
Some of the fellas need to settle down a bit and show respect.
Regards
Kim
