Axle.
The rain has finally stopped here at
Tweed Heads(I hope)
We have not been on water restrictions in this shire & it looks like we will never have any restrictions.
Just watched a story on TV news about a 4wd which tried to outrun the cops in the flood waters somewhere on the
gold coast.Lost the 4wd & also booked 4 times over the limit!!.
Regards.
Vince

Although my thoughts go out to those suffering from natural disasters too I can't help but wonder why they live in a flood plain, why people build in the bush with no sprinkler systems then their house burn down in bush fires, why farmers work such marginal land then wonder why the draught wipes them out. History shows it's been happening for a couple of hundred years so it shouldn't come as a surprise.
Interesting looking at many of the early country homes that you'll see built on a rise out of the floods with all the modern homes down on the flats with the buitiful view of the river.
Cheers Craig..........
