Some of my registered domain names are coming up for there two year renewal shortly.
I have to date used Melb IT for my registrations but recently came across this site Whats in a name which provided a good comparison between cost being charged by various domain resellers.

Rather than spending $140.00 for a two year renewal I can get it done for as little as $27.95 by these guys Intaserve

Anyone have any experience with Intaserve that can pass comment, good, bad or indifferent.
Any reason why one would be better based on price than another?

Cheers

Hi John,

I use www.smartyhost.com.au for my few.

Found them to be very good over the past few years.

I had a bloody awful experience with SmartyHost and a botched migration last year. Google turns up a few articles on it. Won't say more other than do your research.

We have been using MD Web Hosting for our domain name rego's and email hosting.

They are based in Melbourne and can't fault there service, they've been around for years.

We have a couple of domains with Melbourne IT and yes they are expensive for what they offer and hard to deal with.

Hey Big John

Good to see you are still around. Sold that Troopy yet, or is it still collecting dust???

John, with regards to a domain name, depends what want. For $27.95 I assume you mean a '.com.au' address. For our website, I use a '.com' address. Current cost is $10.90 per year.

Also, do you use webhosting? Intraserve looks quite expensive. As you know our website (especially as it has some pics of you & your Troopy on it), we have no problems with it and have been using Webcity for the past 12 months. Cost is way below Intraserve.
