I'm chasing a reputable business in Perth (or very close to) to check over my recently purchased TD100

Dyno etc...I just want to make sure its running as good as it can be and if any issues arise, fixed to a high standard!

Any recommendations out there?

cheers

Ok good to hear, we are pretty busy so yeah the 23rd sounds about right.

Give me some background of the vehicle and why you want it dynoed and checked out.

No worries Matt....I see your pic is at Manilya Roadhouse..Know it well , I use to live in Carnarvon!

Anyway, the reason for the dyno etc...

1/ Had the car about 6 weeks now, TD100 5sp auto. 88,000k's Build Nov 2002. Upgrade model.
2/ I'm a fussy prick..I want to know that everything is 'A OK' because I haven't had it since new.
4/ Car presents in very good condition and if the previous owner is to be believed, he towed a heavy van but did bugger all off road except for trails...????who knows!
3/ I've just done a service on it with new filters (Fuel and oil) to be sure. Service history is mostly ok but the odd service a little far apart...not any more though!.
4/ I find it a little sluggish for what I expected..I may just be toooooo fussy but I use to own a 3.0TD Nissan (Manual) and I must say that I am a little disappointed with the 100 power wise...hence the check over...there maybe something simple I'm not aware of that you Gurus in the business do. I have already put a D'tronic in it.
5/ Anyway, looking forward to the Dyno to see the figures and may some advice on a few mods...suspension/exhaust whatever.

Just want to know she's running as well as possible.

See you on the 23rd.
Regards
Andrew

Ok sounds like youve got yourself a nice rig, yeah the photo is from out trip to Warra station last august.Heading up again late april this year.

Anyway keen to have a look at what the TD100 is like and did you find no effect with the chip or just not as happy overall. We recommend that people fit an aftermarket exhaust as well as a chip, but you can talk to the turbo department(thats where i work) about upgrades if you need to.

You should feel like its jumping out of its skin coming from a 3.0 TD nissan.

Anyway catch up with me on the 23Rd and we will see what shows.

I really didn't drive it much before the chip went in so hard to judge the difference power.

Off the mark I'd say she is pretty good but mid range without really jumping on it I think lies the problem. It's pretty reluctant to drop back a gear without a lot of push down on the accelerator. On the flip side when cruising at 110 (cruise control on), she kicks back to 4th at the slightest glance of a incline!!! I expected the power of these engines would just pull and pull in any gear.

Fuel economy seems very much on par with what others experience.

But that's the high expectations I have for my money and may be I am hoping for too much!

Anyway, see you on the 23rd, looking forward to it.

You could try T.L.C. in O'Connor - they dont have a dyno, but they only do Toyotas - very good and will not rip you off
