Hi
I am looking for a tv antenna to use in fringe areas with standard def set top box. Any recommendations? I have been reading posts all afternoon and probably more confused now than when I started.

thanks Kc

I ended up buying a Digimatch from Dick Smith ...About $69...works a treat, but not sure about fringe areas. With Digital you have to have a signal, or it won't work...with analogue, you will get a half decent picture, but not with Digital.

I also have SAT TV...worth it I reckon !

I'm using one of these from DSE, works OK on HDTV

UHF Phased Array TV Antenna

UHF phased array TV antenna
UHF channels 21-69 up to 8-13 dB gain
Ideal for all country areas and poor signal areas.
Ideal for eliminating ghosting problems and unwanted signal.
Includes balun for easy coax cable connection.
Can be used for horizontal or vertical polarization.

I forgot to mention. I also use a signal booster , It;s called a Plug In TV Amp, S/n 10MM-MA20FT also from DSE and without it I would have nothing to view, soon as I turn it on I have perfect TV, I think it was $39.00 or there abouts, available at other stores too.
