Hi all,

I have recently purchased an older Millard van to use onsite at a Waterski Park.

The park requires all vans to be insured.

Can anyone recommend an insurance company... Is one better than the other?

Cheers

G'day Jason

This question comes up from time to time. We use CIL Insurances for a camper trailer, but when others have replied previously there are a range of insurers quoted and the premiums do not seem to vary significantly. Best just to shop around I guess

Cheers

I've only had experience with NRMA, so I can't help with direct comparisons. BUT- I have had 2 major claims - a write-off and an $8000 hail repair. On each occasion I couldn't fault NRMA claims division. They went out of their way to be helpful. Only complaint I have with them is that now my van is 8 years old they will not cover my awning or canvas annexe any more.

We use MHIA (Manufactured Homes Insurance Agency) MHIA

We have our insurance linked with that of our home. If you live in a manufactured home village they waive the 60 day clause - the only company I can find that does. When 20 vans were hail damaged 3 years ago at Dalgety they were one of the better ones that our caravan club members had to deal with.
