Folks,
The Roo is now due for its 110,000 km service. I have no intention of going to the Holden Dealer (who shall remain namelss) in
Adelaide who we brought it from due to the pathetic service they have provided so far so Im looking around for someone to service it.
Ive been quoted various prices for a service and been told by various people that this is a Major service and by others its a minor service. The service book isn't much help.
So my question is - is this a major or minor service and does anyone have
feedback on a good service centre in
Adelaide (city or just to the south) that do a good job (and pricing I should expect to pay??).

I've just sold my Jack but could recommend a small, professional outfit at Coromandel Valley - they did some work on my 99 SE TD and I was very happy overall - the pricing is not budget (but they didn't rip me off either - quite the opposite) - the quality of the work seems very good. While I do most of my 'easy' servicing, at
home, this mob do the techical stuff for me - they now look after our LC 100.

According to my service book,
Change Engine Oil & Filter
Adjust tappets
Lubricate Uni joints and sliding joint
Inspect everything as usual
Time quoted 3.2 hours.
In Jackaroo diesel terms, it's a "major" service, with the "minor" ones needing 1.2 to 1.9 hours.

You may want to use a 4wd specialist like ALLTRAC on South Rd at Mile End.
Also, whoever you use, just make sure they use the correct grade of oil for the TD Jack - it needs a 5W30 or 5W40 from memory.
