Craig's hut is just about finished, just a bit of cleaning up to do.
A few safety changes have been made. The first thing is there is no longer bark on the roof. The other is a door has been added to the back of the hut.

Good one, but Craigs hut was only ever a film prop.
What about all the others destroyed by fire, the CFA/RfA in most cases pleased to see them gone.
These huts were/are part of the high country history, not what todays conservationaliist/environmentalist groups wish to remember.
As a member of the Vic. Bushwalkers Ass. in the '60's., I, my partner plus many others shared that country, camping in their huts with the cattle men looking after their stock.
They were days when all were equal, hikers signed in at various stop off points, all were friends....... today?
Bah Humbug.

Thanks Wayne,
A valuable resource has been restored. I've only been there once. (We had a chat earlier at the river) but all the richer for it.
