Hi guys and guyesses

I will be driving down from Wagga on Friday night (25th Jan) to do the VHC trek as shown in the trek notes VHC trek notes
Doing the trek and getting back to Wagga on the afternoon/early evening of Monday 28th

In the spirit of 'tagging along' (wink wink) in previous threads I posted recently. I thought I would see if anyone near wagga wants to 'tag along'

AND

I have searched the web for the latest reports on the fires that have been (may still be) active in the VHC.

Can anyone tell me if the area that the trek goes through has been affectd?

I'm from Wagga too and was down that way all of last week. There was a small fire in the Blue Rag area near Mt Hotham that was under control as of Saturday. Otherwise, conditions were as per trek notes.

Some things to note; Bluff Hut and Lovick's Hut are both gone from the fires (Bluff is being rebuilt) and there was a locked gate on the track just east of Lovick's that needed a substantial detour.

A storm went through the area last Friday afternoon, so make sure you pack the chainsaw...

Was at Talbotville first week of Jan. Tracks to Wonnangatta are ok, South basalt to Blue rag is ok, and the local tracks from Talbotville are ok inc Billy goat bluff.

The detective in me has been very busy and has come up with the initials TD.

And I don't think it's Turbo Diesel

Flash the lights one day, mine is the white Patrol with the Exploroz wheel cover...
