15 mm of lovely gentle rain last night, and the chance of some more water coming down the Darling. Things are looking up!

Some parts of Adelaide had 20mm in 1/2 hour with isolated flooding in the northern suburbs. We had nothing here on the eastern side of the Mt Lofty Ranges, not even a drop, although the radar map showed that it came over us. Pretty humid yesterday afternoon though.

In the B-E-A-UTIFUL Adelaide Hills, between Hahndorf and Birdwood. Not even a spot... What part of the Riverland? We have a place near Swan Reach. Hope we got a bit there; the lawns are almost dead because we stopped watering. The river is about .7 - 1m below pool level depending on the wind conditions.

We are between Berri and Glossop, and its still raining light but steady. It puts things in perspective when people from the rainy tropics tell us how much they have had, more in a day or two than we get in a year.

Sorry Les I posted the previous follow up without seeing yours. You always seem to get more up there at Berri Heights.(Snob Hill) I just hope you pay more council rates as well.

Good news that you have had some rain.

Needs a lot more though.

It would be great if there were heaps of rain in the catchment areas for the Murray Darling and the water restrictions were lifted.

G'dat Steve, yes our rain is very welcome even though its not much compared to you lot. Brother Dave in Darwin had about 400 mm the other day. But as you know we welcome any amount down here and with the warrego and Paroo in flood up Qld way the Darling is expected to flow to the Murray soon, don't know how much will be left when it gets here though.

Regards to Maggie and yourself.

We hadn't had any rain since last Sunday and it was very hot and humid.

Rained last night and that helped cool it down. Only 15 mm though. Have had 201 for the month so far but most of that was in the first week when it almost flooded.

W don't get as much rain as Darwin. We only get a little over 1 metre a year. Better place than Darwin. Darwin is too big but Mad Mags wants to go there to visit TJ and Frank

Hope all you Riverlanders are well. Say G'day to everyone at RL LSA for me.

I'm sure we do pay more council rates but for the same poor services. Compared to the metro area, we get ripped but it's worth it not having to live there. LOL

Des

The trouble and strife is still as mad as ever.

Had a big night last night - six women in the swimming pool all consuming copious quantities of alcohol.

I tried to educate them about low risk drinking guideline but they wouldn't listen to me.

Radar image shows it is not, but it also says it is not raining here, and looking out the window says it is!
