I recently bought a 2006 Pathie Ti (diesel, auto), and find that this model wasn't fitted with Hill Descent Control. Is it possible to retrofit it, and if so, about how much?
Cheers

There's a Pathie specific forum that would be the best place to ask that. Someone here might have the URL, I can't remember it.

You could try the poor mans "hill descent" / locker.

Put your right foot on the brake. Just enough to stop the car from rolling downhill. Then with your left foot lightly press the accelerator so that you push your car down hill. When you want to slow down or stop, just ease off the accelerator.

And best of all it's free.

Robak, I guess you do that with your right hand on the dashboard and your left hand in the boot.

Tessa it's called 'drive over braking' and should be taught at all good 4wd training courses.

Oh dear. I am getting my right and left feet mixed up. Even after all these years of training.

Yes, if you do what I wrote you will have your "right hand on the dashboard and your left hand in the boot" and your butt on the steering wheel.

Thanks Robak ... having a bit of a problem with the under-dash space getting my right leg over the left to do what you suggested. Is that the same as "throwing a leg"?
