G’day folks,
I’m chasing a reco starter motor for a 99 GQ 4.2td without much success.
Can anyone point me in the right direction in
Melbourne?
Thanks

You can buy a new aftermarket one for around $250 with 1 year warranty.
Check out Autp Pro, AutoBarn, Sprint, Repco, Supercheap etc.

I bought a new Nippon Denso at
Karratha in 2006 and the Leccy
shop took my old one as a change over on a ....slightly reduced price, No doubt he would put new brushes and solonoid on it and re sell it at a great profit but when one's pressed for time , no option, and then I had to remove an refit myself.
So what I'm suggesting is try an Auto sparky and get a good brand name made in Japan and you'll save heaps and lost time in the long run.
